Our mission stems from the real need of those who live in ghettos like Borgo Mezzanone, where the lack of language and literacy makes it difficult to build a decent life. We became aware of this during the filming of the documentary One Day One Day (available for free at the link), in which we also tell the story of Fatoma, known as Tomas, who was trying to learn to read and write on his own. After his death in an accident in 2022, we decided to remember him by opening an Italian school dedicated to him-the first in the ghetto. Today Irma, Antonella, Omar, Yaya, Davide and Luigia are its teachers.
